Born in Baltimore in 1937, Melvin O. Miller graduated from the Maryland Institute of Art in 1959. Miller was a member of the famed "Six Realists of Baltimore" in the early 1960's, and his works often stood along with work of Ben Shahn and Edward Hopper.  Miller lives in Woodlawn and is still actively painting.

The client wanted a website to display the different groupings of his diverse works.  He  wanted to display as many of his paintings as possible in a size that would show the detail of the work without using so many pages that the website visitor would tire of searching.

WebWorks solved the problem with the use of "thumbnails" that enabled many paintings to appear on one page.  Each work could be viewed in more detail by clicking  a thumbnail for an enlarged view.

Miller also wanted to display many works to keep the site fresh.  WebWorks formatted a code that allowed the paintings to "rotate" monthly with a new group replacing the older works on a regular schedule.
